About Me

Dr. Atsushi Omata (小俣 敦士 in Japanese) is currently a Assistant Professor at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. He received his Master’s degree in 2017 and Ph.D. in 2022 from Shizuoka University. His research focuses on visualizing and sharing practical knowledge in dementia care. He develop systems that capture caregiving behaviors and expertise using sensor data and video analysis, which are then applied to learning support and coaching. Recently, he has been working on data-driven care support technologies utilizing multimodal video analysis and large language models (LLMs).
